Sometimes the best career move is to stop thinking about your career.
Right now, close this tab and do one of these instead:
- Go outside. Even just stand in a doorway and breathe real air for 60 seconds.
- Write the chaos in your head on actual paper. Don't organize it. Just dump it out.
- Touch something alive - grass, a tree, your neglected houseplant. Remember there's a world beyond LinkedIn.
- Text someone who makes you laugh. Not about jobs. About anything else.
- Make the best cup of coffee/tea you can. Drink it slowly. Taste it.
Your career problems will still be here in an hour, a day, or a week. But you'll be in a different headspace to handle them.
