- Conduct nutrition assessments for people receiving cancer treatment
- Create individualized nutrition care plans based on symptoms, labs, and treatment goals
- Manage nutrition-related side effects such as nausea, taste changes, mouth sores, diarrhea, constipation, and poor appetite
- Provide education for patients and caregivers on practical meal strategies and food safety
- Recommend oral nutrition supplements when appropriate
- Coordinate enteral feeding recommendations with the care team when needed
