- Plan daily and weekly shop schedules based on project priorities
- Assign work to carpenters and machine operators and balance workloads
- Review shop drawings and specifications before work begins
- Track materials, hardware, and supplies to prevent production delays
- Maintain quality standards through in process checks and final inspections
- Coordinate with project managers, installers, and clients on changes and delivery dates
- Enforce safety practices and keep the shop organized and clean
- Troubleshoot production problems and adjust processes as needed
