Key Responsibilities

Assign daily tasks to material handlers and prioritize work based on shipping and production needs
Receive inbound goods and confirm counts, labels, and condition
Stage materials for picking, packing, production, or outbound shipping
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks when needed
Maintain accurate inventory records in warehouse systems
Perform cycle counts and help resolve inventory differences
Monitor dock activity to prevent delays and congestion
Train new team members on safe handling, scanning, and storage practices
Enforce safety rules and report hazards, incidents, and near misses
Coordinate with supervisors, shipping teams, and production teams to address shortages and rush requests
Support continuous improvement by suggesting better layouts, workflows, and labeling standards
Complete basic paperwork and end of shift updates for leadership
