- Plan and lead internal investigations from intake to closure
- Interview employees, managers, and third parties while maintaining fairness and confidentiality
- Review documents, messages, and records to establish timelines and key facts
- Assess legal and policy risk and advise on appropriate corrective actions
- Partner with Human Resources, Compliance, Security, and Finance on investigation strategy
- Coordinate with outside counsel when independence, scale, or specialized expertise is needed
- Draft investigation plans, findings summaries, and leadership briefings
- Support disciplinary decisions and help design remediation steps
- Identify repeat issues and recommend policy updates and training improvements
- Manage privileged communications and protect sensitive information
- Prepare for regulatory inquiries, audits, or litigation holds related to investigations
- Track cases and metrics to improve consistency, timeliness, and quality
