Dozer Operator
Career GuideKey Responsibilities
- Operate a bulldozer to push, spread, and level soil, gravel, and other materials
- Follow grade stakes, site plans, and supervisor instructions to shape the work area
- Perform rough grading and finish grading to required elevations
- Clear land by moving brush, stumps, and debris when required
- Maintain safe working distances around people, trucks, and other equipment
- Complete daily pre use inspections and report issues
- Handle basic routine care such as cleaning, refueling, and lubrication checks
- Communicate by radio and hand signals with spotters and other operators
- Document work completed and report hazards or changing site conditions
- Support site setup tasks such as building haul roads, berms, and pads
