Deposit Operations Specialist
Career GuideKey Responsibilities
- Open, maintain, and close deposit accounts based on requests from customers, branches, and digital channels
- Process account changes such as name updates, address updates, beneficiaries, and account restrictions
- Handle daily transaction processing and back office tasks such as holds, returns, chargebacks, and adjustments
- Research and resolve deposit account issues including posting errors, missing transactions, and account exceptions
- Support debit card and check related servicing such as stop payments, check orders, and dispute intake
- Perform customer identity checks and documentation review to meet compliance requirements
- Monitor queues and service level targets to ensure timely completion of work
- Work with fraud, risk, and compliance teams to escalate unusual activity and support investigations
- Maintain clear records in core banking systems and case management tools
- Respond to branch and customer service inquiries with clear status updates and next steps
