Construction Laborer
Career GuideKey Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and stage materials and tools
- Prepare job sites by clearing debris and setting up barriers
- Assist carpenters, masons, electricians, and plumbers with basic tasks
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision
- Dig trenches and backfill areas as directed
- Set up and take down temporary structures and work zones
- Mix and move concrete, mortar, and other materials
- Direct traffic and pedestrians near active work areas when assigned
- Follow safety procedures and wear required protective equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and dispose of waste properly
