Key Responsibilities

Receive and sort used instruments and equipment
Clean and decontaminate instruments following safety procedures
Inspect instruments for damage, missing parts, and cleanliness
Assemble instrument sets and procedure trays
Run sterilization cycles and monitor results
Label and document sterilization loads and lot numbers
Package instruments using approved materials and methods
Store sterile supplies in a way that protects sterility and prevents damage
Pick and deliver supplies to operating rooms and clinical areas
Manage inventory levels and restock supplies
Report equipment issues and request repairs or replacements
