AV Integration Technician
Career GuideKey Responsibilities
- Install AV hardware such as displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, cameras, and mounts
- Run, label, and terminate cabling including HDMI, SDI, speaker wire, and network cable
- Configure control systems and user interfaces for rooms and meeting spaces
- Set up video conferencing systems and validate audio and camera performance
- Test systems end to end and document results
- Troubleshoot signal, audio, network, and device issues on site
- Coordinate with electricians, network teams, and construction teams during installs
- Follow safety practices and keep work areas clean and organized
- Provide basic user training and handoff support after installation
- Maintain service records and update system documentation such as rack layouts and wiring diagrams
